HOW IT WORKS
Claire is a Gentle Yoga, Meditation and Self-Care teacher, specialising in functional, supportive and therapeutic practices that help busy, overwhelmed people slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with themselves. With her own experience with burn-out and fast-paced living prior to becoming a Yoga teacher, her core philosophy is to help others balance day-to-day physical and mental overwhelm. Using a gentle approach to Yoga and self-care that is simple, supportive and manageable, Claire helps her students to reclaim time to care for themselves in a kind, adaptive way.
Yoga and self-care practices can provide great benefits to health and general wellbeing. Please remember to work within the limits of your own body, which only you can know. As with any exercise or movement practice, consult your healthcare professional with any questions or concerns before starting. There is always a possibility of injury with physical activity. 60-minute Restorative Yoga practice to help you unwind your body and mind, and make space for a nurturing night's sleep.
By midweek, many of us are carrying tension from the first half of the week while already bracing for the second. This sessions offers you a much-deserved pause – a chance to soften, release, and return to yourself.
Restorative Yoga uses long-held, fully supported poses to gently calm the nervous system, soothe the body, and quieten the mind. It’s the perfect midweek medicine – whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, overstimulated, or just plain tired.
Come in pyjamas... Leave ready for bed...
Props: bring a bolster (or cushions/rolled up blankets), yoga blocks if you have them - an extra cushion or blanket is also handy just in case you'd like more support to feel comfortable.

With gentle, mindful poses and movement, release the secondary discomfort, tightness and tension that is forming in other areas of your body following your abdominal laparoscopy. Nurture and support your body as it heals.
Other parts of your body can begin to feel achy and uncomfortable as you rest in lying or seated postures for long periods of time. Though the body needs that time for your abdomen to heal and it can be worrying to know what movement is right for it, you can still move and stretch mindfully, safely and gently. This helps to support the healing process and relieve tension that's building up from lack of movement and pre/post-surgery anxiety.
This is the 5-step sequence I used to support my own body following my 4-incision laparoscopy. In addition to the abdominal pain as a result of surgery, I also had secondary pain, particularly through my shoulders and sides of my body and chest, which made it hard to breathe deeply. This was caused by prolonged periods of lying in awkward and rounded positions. With these gentle, mindful poses and movement, I eased my sore muscles and joints and was able to breathe more freely. It helped my body to stay more comfortable, whilst allowing my abdominal area to recover.

Have you ever joined a yoga class and wondered why you couldn't bend or move the same way as the person next to you? Do you often think that you're just not flexible enough?
Is your practice directed by “thinking” and not leaving enough room for “feeling” your body? How can you change this? Is your expectation of how you think you “should” move affecting your enjoyment of your yoga class or other daily activities?
This 2.5-hour workshop will help to answer the questions above and more, introducing you to your body and how unique it is, and helping you forge a much more harmonious and symbiotic relationship with it.
I will walk you through a human body, explaining the basic structure and mechanics of the skeleton and soft tissue, and also delve into how our mindset can lead us to being stuck in anticipation, expectation, comparison, duty, desire, and many other aspects that can result in us disconnecting from our body and even injuring ourselves.

Balance is more than just staying upright - it’s the quiet, ongoing conversation between your body and brain that helps you move with ease and confidence.
In this practical, 1-hour hands-on masterclass, I guide you through simple, effective ways to use body awareness to support and improve your balance. You’ll discover how to work with your body, rather than against it, learning to listen to its signals and respond with subtle adjustments that keep you steady and agile. By reconnecting with your natural balancing abilities, you can help maintain this vital skill for everyday life - whether it’s walking on uneven ground, standing in the kitchen, climbing stairs, or moving through a yoga practice.
This masterclass is divided into three focused parts, making the content easy to absorb and integrate into your daily routine. Each section builds on the last, so you can progress at your own pace and revisit the practices whenever you need a balance boost.
