E-Book: Post-Laparoscopy Support

€5.99

With gentle, mindful poses and movement, release the secondary discomfort, tightness and tension that is forming in other areas of your body following your abdominal laparoscopy. Nurture and support your body as it heals.

Other parts of your body can begin to feel achy and uncomfortable as you rest in lying or seated postures for long periods of time. Though the body needs that time for your abdomen to heal and it can be worrying to know what movement is right for it, you can still move and stretch mindfully, safely and gently. This helps to support the healing process and relieve tension that's building up from lack of movement and pre/post-surgery anxiety.

This is the 5-step sequence I used to support my own body following my 4-incision laparoscopy. In addition to the abdominal pain as a result of surgery, I also had secondary pain, particularly through my shoulders and sides of my body and chest, which made it hard to breathe deeply. This was caused by prolonged periods of lying in awkward and rounded positions. With these gentle, mindful poses and movement, I eased my sore muscles and joints and was able to breathe more freely. It helped my body to stay more comfortable, whilst allowing my abdominal area to recover.

What people say

Mireille: "Just found your terrific sequence. I had laparoscopy surgery to remove a small portion of my small intestine. I started doing some of the less intense poses in the hospital and continued with the sequence and lots of dog walking once at home. The sequence really helped relieving some of the tightness and discomfort and gave me some energy. Thank you so much."

Penny: "Post-op Day 4, gallbladder removal. Getting a bit eager to recover. But really trying to maintain focus and stay intune with what my body needs both mentally and physically. I came across this regimen, and it helped tremendously. Thank you!"

Ashley: "Thank you for creating this sequence. I will be having similar surgery to remove my ovary due to tumor. It is all a bit overwhelming, and I am mostly concerned about my mental well being with limited ability to exercise. The shared experience and reminder to be kind and gentle with my body is so helpful. Thank you again."
